Biography |

Prof. León-Carrión obtained his PhD in Psychology at the University of Seville in 1983. He is a professor of Neuropsychology and director of the Human Neuropsychology Laboratory at the University of Seville, Spain, and head of the Research, Development & Innovation Department at the Center for Brain Injury Rehabilitation (C.RE.CER.) in Seville. Prof. Leon-Carrion currently serves as vice-chairman of the International Brain Injury Association. He is well-known for his commitment to improving and expanding rehabilitation programs for persons with acquired brain injury and serves on boards for several international brain injury societies. He is also a member of numerous journal editorial boards and has published international books and articles on brain injury assessment and rehabilitation as well as neuropsychology textbooks. He has served as a reviewer and consultant for the U.S. Department of Defense Traumatic Brain Injury Grant Program and other international projects.
