Main Library Resources
The Main Library, considered the largest reading room of the world, is a learning space that offers information in all its formats, through its collections of books, periodicals, maps, theses and electronic resources, and most importantly, its customized services to its users: students, researchers, general public and disabled persons.
The Main Library offers reference services in person, by phone, by email and via Facebook; bibliographies and subject guides; reproduction services and library orientation tours. Researchers can request articles from electronic databases by email, or they can ask for a research appointment with a specialized librarian. As for the general public, the Main Library offers a lot of reading and awareness activities, including play and poetry readings, contests, simulation models, lectures and workshops on various subjects. Recently, the Main Library started a special program for deaf and hearing impaired, aiming at including them in as many activities as possible together with the general public.
