This article describes the establishment of a development program for laboratory certification for 29 laboratories in the Chiang Rai province in northern Thailand. The goal was to improve laboratory service quality by voluntary participation, peer review, training and compliance with standards.

This paper presents exploratory data from a large-scale effort in Ethiopia led by the Federal Ministry of Health to improve hospital management capacity across the country. Using a pre-post study, changes in adherence to 86 hospital management standards among hospitals were measured.
