The effect of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Nigerian public libraries was explored with a survey. The findings show that ICT improves public library services, but most libraries have not been automated and a considerable number of staff and users are not ICT-literate.

The study examined the level of ICT skills of LIS students (final year) at the University of the Punjab (Lahore) and the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan. It also assessed the LIS students’ satisfaction with the teaching methodologies and ICT facilities provided by their institutes.
