The Tisch School of the Arts of the New York University and the Library of Alexandria will engage a group of young aspiring film makers from Egypt and the US in an exchange program that will expose the students to a broad range of production techniques through production experiences and class discussion. Each student will serve in rotation as director, producer, camera, sound, and AC/gaffer.
The students from Egypt will attend a summer course at the Tisch School and an invitation will be extended to the American students interested in spending a month in Egypt to work on short films. Each of the American students will be paired with one of the Egyptian students to work on the films. Each “pair” would produce a short film on a topic of their choice. The three short films produced by the six students would then be reviewed by some members of the faculty of the School with feedback to the students.
