Biography:

Prof. Nassar was the head of the Economic Department Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University 2007-2008 and Vice Dean for Community Development, Faculty of Economics and Political Science (FEPS), Cairo University and Vice Chair for all academic centers at (FEPS) over the period 2004-2007. Over the period 1999-2005 she has been the Director of the Center for Economic and Financial Research and Studies. Since 1992 she is a Research Professor at the Social Research Center, American University in Cairo. Since 2002 she is the Advisor of the Economic Committee of the Parliament till present and is since 2008 a member of the Executive Population Committee at the Ministry of Population and Family and also a member of the Higher Council of Policies, the National Democratic Party and a member of the Regulatory Body of the Electricity since 2010. Since 1994 she is a member of the National Specialized Councils and in 2000 she became a member of the economic committee of the National Council for Women. She is also a fellow of the Economic Research Forum since 2003 and a co researcher of CARIM (Mediterranean University) since 2006 . She is a founding Member of the Steering Committee of the Research Alliance For Development (RAD)(World Bank Paris) from 2004 till 2009 and was a member of the Board of the Holding Company of Electricity from 2000-2008 and a member of the Permanent Scientific Committee for Promotion of Professors in Economics in Egypt since 2000-2008 . and over the period 2003-2006 she was a Member of the Global Power Council.
