Ferry de Kerckhove
Canadian Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Biography:
was born in Belgium in 1947. He has a B.Soc. Sc. Honours in Economics, an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Ottawa. He has published several papers on international relations in specialized journals. In September 1973, Mr. de Kerckhove entered the Canadian Foreign Service. He was posted to the Canadian Embassy in Tehran (1973-76), at the Canadian Delegation to NATO (1981-85), to Moscow as Deputy Head of Mission (1992-95). He served as Canada’s High Commissioner to Pakistan from August 1998 to 2001 and as Canada’s Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia from September 2001 to 2003.
