The lunar eclipse occurs when the moon, the earth and the sun fall on one straightness, so that the earth is located between the sun and the moon, blocking the sun from the moon. The eclipse is entirely when the moon enters the entire region of the Umbra and is partially when part of the moon enters the Earth's shadow region. Penumbra. A lunar eclipse occurs only two weeks before the solar eclipse.

On 11 September 2014, NASA's Curiosity Mars rover eventually arrived at a towering mountain on the Red Planet, known as Aeolis Mons or Mount Sharp, after a long drive that began in June 2013. Mount Sharp is the rover's long-term prime target. It is located at the center of a large impact crater, known as Gale. Curiosity will begin exploring the mountain with an examination of the its lower slopes

On 22 September 2014, NASA’s Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution (MAVEN) spacecraft was successfully placed into orbit around Mars. MAVEN will now prepare to begin an unprecedented study of the Red Planet’s upper atmosphere. It is the first mission dedicated to exploring the tenuous Martian upper atmosphere.
