is particularly important with treatments. Sometimes, treatments are given to meet the
doctors’ needs rather than the patients needs, and the doctor may fail to take into
account the cost of following the Rx for the patient, such as those outlined above. This
will increase risk of non-compliance. The key to a
good DPR is adequate information assessment and information giving and respect for the
patient’s autonomy and humanity.
