As compared with less than 10 hours, crude odds ratio for SBS
associated with working overtime 30 or more hours per month was 3.0. However, full
adjustment for concomitant factors reduced the odds ratio by 50%. This indicates that
overtime increases the risk of SBS partly through its effects on other risk factors of
SBS. Footnotes of figure * Adjusted for sex, age, building, position, and history of allergy + Additionally adjusted for use of VDT, ETS and smoking, work stress factors except work overload, sports activity, and sleep ++ Fully adjusted, including work overload |
