When you did not find goiter on thyroid palpation you have
95% of chances to be right. In small thyroids there is a tendency to overestimate the thyroid volume. In moderate goiters and nodules you have a moderate accuracy to define the correct volume. Big goiters are better defined on clinical examination. |
