We want to pilot program of insulin supply and delivery in just 6 from HIPCs over 3-year period to assess visibility. But at the same time substancial pressure needs to be put on industry to maintain a much fair pricing system so the patients with Type 1 diabetes do not have to die because of lack of insulin. The supply of insulin at the fair charge is necessary but not sufficient to stop patient’s dying. They also need educational and logistic support.
