A very important component for an Integrated Operations system is to be
able to build the
supply chain of educational knowledge. In this example,
suppose our troops were deployed to Kenya. There needs to be a rapid
education of personnel about many things, one of which is AIDs.
The learning materials need to be rapidly shared. In this
approach the public health experts from the CDC would be networked
with the DOD and NASA. Having trusted AIDs content for the CDC is
easily used by the DOD if it is PowerPoint on the web. The DOD
slides and lectures can be inexpensively customized for the NASA,
rather than created from scratch by an outside defense contractor.
