Intervention
Mapping, a model based as well on theories, provides health promotion planners also with a
framework for decision making at all the stages of intervention planning, implementation,
and evaluation. There are five main steps in intervention mapping. Each steps involves
several tasks. Completion of a task from each step creates a product which becomes a guide
to the next step. Moving from one step to the next is not necessary a linear process. In
practice the steps are intertwined and one moves from within the steps as many times as
