OR’s highlighted in yellow are significant (p=0.05).Among men, all types of physical activity were associated with an increased risk of activity-related injury when compared to sedentary men. Walkers had lower risk than runners and sport participants. Among women, only running and sport participation were associated with an increased risk of injury. Among men, risk of injury increased significantly as duration of activity per week increase. Only the highest (>3.75 hours/week) category of duration was associated with increased injury risk among women. Higher fitness levels were associated with higher injury risk among men but not among women. |
