As Singapore transits to a knowledge-based economy, more in our workforce are being employed in managerial, professional and technical jobs. Employment in manufacturing activities has declined relative to that in other sectors, particularly, financial and business services. The development of OSH in Singapore will need to move in tandem with the changing employment landscape.
