It is interesting to see that the celarance half-time is quite dependent on the size of the particulates as shown for TiO2. Diesel appears of this slide as close to ultrafine TiO2, confirming that its particulate phase in the size range of very small particles. The smaller the size of the particulate is, the longer is its residence time in the lung.
