Medical Informatics deals with the capture, storing, retrieving, communication, and ethical use of health related information and knowledge. Its application to problem solving in all fields of biomedical sciences and for health care organizations' management is continuously growing, not only in highly industrialized countries, but in developing ones as well. The great medical databases, must of them free of charge, are some really special and unique in the field of sciences. We will return to these points later.
