The WRAPIN prototype can determine the reliability of a document by the number of references it contains from recognized sources, such as documents indexed in Medline. These systems make use of the centralized validation provided by the editorial boards and peer review process which precedes inclusion in Medline. This is similar to the way Google ranks pages by analysing incoming links from highly ranked sites. |
