So one of the things that it
looks as though we need to think about is where is the primary location of the pain. I’m
sure many of you when you have back pain you just have it in the back. It tends to become
more disabling as it extends down the thigh and down particularly below the knee. And some
of the research I’ve done, I’ve tried to concentrate and focus on the back pain that
extends into the legs. One of the hings that they say in orthopedic surgery, which I
assume is correct, is that if you have back pain it is due to something mechanical going
on in the spine. Usually if you shift your position, you bend forward, extend, move to one
side or the other, sit down, hold you knees up. If your back pain, if the extent of you
back pain changes when you do that, probably it is a mechanical thing due to your back. If
the back pain is constant you look for sometime perhaps malignant, infectious, or
something like that as a correlation of the back pain. |
