Biography:

Tawfik is Founder Director of the Egyptian Center for Theoretical Physics (ECTP), Professor at the Modern University for Technology and Information, Spokesperson of the Federation for Egyptian Particle Scientists (FEPS) and Deputy-Director of the Egyptian Network of High-Energy Physics (ENHEP) of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT). Tawfik is an Associate of the Nuclear Physics Institute of Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences, the Team Leader of Egyptian Scientists joining the ALICE experiment at LHC, member of ALICE Collaboration Board, and Research Director at the "ICSC - World Laboratory" in Geneva, Switzerland. In 2012, he obtained his D.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics at the Uzbekistan National University and in 1999 the Dr.rer.Nat (Ph.D) in High-Energy Physics at Philipps Universität zu Marburg, Germany. He is a member of the editorial board of “International Journal of Theoretical and Mathematical Physics (IJTMP)”. In 1998, Dr. Tawfik was awarded with the DAAD-prize for “Hervorragende Leistungen ausländischer Studierender an den deutschen Hochschulen". At the 23rd General Meeting of TWAS held in Tianjin, China, on 18 September 2012, Dr Tawfik has been elected as Fellow of TWAS. DSc. Dr.Tawfik is the author of two titles. He published about 65 research papers in leading journals. Furthermore, Dr. Tawfik is serving as supervisor of couple tens PhD and MSc theses at various Egyptian Universities. Abdel Nasser was born in Bani-Ammar, Tahta City, Governate Sohag, Egypt. He is married and father of five wonderful childern.
