TWAS-ARO Young Affiliates 2014 - 2018 Winners

Each year, from 2007, each of the five TWAS Regional Offices select up to five excellent young scientists from their region to be appointed as TWAS Young Affiliates for a period of five years. The Young Affiliates must be living and working in a developing country and have an excellent track record of at least 10 international publications.

This year the TWAS-ARO (Arab Regional Office) young affiliates 2014 are:

  1. Kareem Alzoubi (Jordan), Vice Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, Jordan University of Sciences and Technology.
  2. Mohamed Hassanien (Egypt), Professor, Biochemistry Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Zagazig University.
  3. Firas Kobaissy (Lebanon), Assistant Professor, Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics Department, Faculty of Medicine, American University of Beirut.
  4. Ahmed Al-Amiery (Iraq), Professor of Organic Chemistry, Environmental research Center at university of Technology.
  5. Jamel Jebali (Tunisia), Assistant Professor of Biochemistry and Environmental Toxicology, Higher Institute of Biotechnology, University of Monastir.
