Dr. Ibrahim is an associate professor at the Department of Mathematics, College of Science, Sultan Qaboos University. He obtained his Ph.D. in applied mathematics in 2010 in the field of mathematical biology. In 2014 he joined the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, as an assistant professor. In addition to his teaching duties at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, Dr. Ibrahim supervised 4 Ph.D. students and 3 M.Sc. students. Dr. Ibrahim is very active in research. His main scientific interest is in the area of biological applications of difference and differential equations. Dr. Ibrahim has participated in more than 25 national and international research conferences and has published more than 30 research papers in refereed journals. As an acknowledgment of the quality of his research output, in 2012 he was awarded the AU-TWAS Prize for Young Scientists and then he was selected in 2018 as a TWAS young affiliate.
