Biography:
Dr. Mohammed Kadhom, a researcher and academic, earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2018 under the supervision of Prof. Baolin Deng. His doctoral research focused on thin film nanocomposite (TFN) membranes for reverse osmosis. Prior to this, he received his B.Sc. in 2007 and M.Sc. in 2009 from the University of Baghdad, where he worked on regenerating spent transformer oil during his Master's studies.
After gaining industry experience as a process engineer at the Arab company for detergent chemicals, Dr. Kadhom transitioned to academia in 2010, becoming a faculty member at Al-Dour Technical Institution. In 2012, he was awarded a scholarship to pursue a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he initially studied Ionic Liquids and Deep Eutectic Solvents before focusing on membranes for desalination.
In 2019, Dr. Kadhom joined Alkarkh University of Science as a faculty member in the Department of Environmental Science within the College of Energy and Environmental Science. His current research emphasizes the treatment of water through innovative applications of membranes and adsorption techniques, reflecting his dedication to creating a sustainable and healthier future.
