The 2019 TWAS-Fayzah M. Al-Kharafi Prize

The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) – for the advancement of science in developing countries is inviting nominations for the 2019 TWAS-Fayzah M. Al-Kharafi Prize devoted to Women scientists.

Eligible candidates:

• Women scientists from Scientifically and Technologically Lagging (STL) countries who have been living and working there for a minimum of two years immediately prior to their nomination.
  
• Nominations for the 2019 prize are invited in the field of Social Sciences.
  
• Fellows of TWAS are not eligible;

Nominations can only be submitted electronically through the new on-line platform at the link: https://twas.org/opportunity/twas-fayzah-m-al-kharafi-prize by clicking on the:

• “New Nomination” button, to start a new nomination;
• “Resume” button, i.e. to resume working on saved nominations.

The deadline to submit complete nominations is 31 July 2019.
