Our meeting started with Prof. Salah Soliman welcoming the attendees and the new comers and introducing our guest speaker, Prof. Tarek El Keiy, chairman of Alexandria Local Council.

Prof. Tarek El Keiy gave a lecture entitled “Vision for Alexandria 2021”. He talked about the different resources and capabilities available in our beloved city which would enable it to become one of the most important touristic cities in the region. He displayed the main factors that can be relied on in the development program; economic factors like tourism, environment maintenance, especially in regarding Mariut Lake, resolving the slums issue, improving the Eastern Port and developing the transportation network. He finally discussed the role of the local council in undertaking and executing this development plan. The presentation was followed by a discussion between the youth and the Professors.
