LYM Session - 12 April 2009

Our meeting started with Dr. Salah Soliman briefing us on the recent sad news about Maryout Lake that it is endangered of being piled. He urged the youth to take action to defend the lake. Then Dr. Salah introduced the first presentation we had that day. The presentation was about “The Safety Box Project” and it was by Marwan Wahba, Mohamed Shadi, Rowan Mohamed, Rim Ali and Ahmed Zaytoun. They explained that the project mainly aims at propagating safe methods and devices to get rid of used syringes, to avoid injury and possible blood infection.

Then,  the LYM member Mahmoud El Noubi gave a presentation about how “To be a legend”? He started with some people that, from his point of view, are legends. Those included Guevara, Youssef Shahin, Einstein and others. Then he shed lights on some points that people should abide by to achieve their dreams and become legends. He clarified that one pays great efforts to reach their precious ends. They have to work very hard, say good bye to long hours rest and days out with friends. Mahmoud concluded his show presenting current public figures he thinks they would among the legends of the future and he said that each one of us can be one of them. Dr. Salah Soliman and Mrs. Layla Abdel Hady moderated the discussions that followed the two shows.
