Abrar is a youth activist and student of the MA program in Peace, Development, Security and International Conflict Transformation. Motivated with a passion for peace-building and inter-cultural efforts, she has participated in a number of Arab and international events that aim to contribute towards global understanding and mutual co-operation. Abrar is a member of several leading organizations including the United Religions Initiative, Youth for Environmental Sanity (YES!) and the British Council's Global Change makers through representing Arab youth in last year's World Economic Forum on the Middle East. She coordinated and assisted in several humanitarian projects including orphanage visits in Egypt, Tanzania and India as well as the production of a one-hour radio program entitled "The Many Peaces" in Austria. Abrar's area of activism also involves advocating respect for human rights, enforcing women's education and environmental protection.
