The Alexandrian Faces exhibition was held at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina from 29 September to 15 October 2007. This joint exhibition was part of the Resident Artist Project, and was held in collaboration between the Alexandria and Mediterranean Research Center (Alex Med) and the Arts Center. It focused on the works of two contemporary artists: Cypriot artist Andreas Karayan and Alexandrian artist Esmat Dawestashy. The main theme was the faces of men and women from Alexandria.
