The Bibliotheca Alexandrina in collaboration with the International Friends’ Associations of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina organized a lecture given by Mario Botta on 13 February 2006 entitled Recent Projects. Attended by students of architecture, professionals and interested members of the public, Botta’s lecture focused on many of his achievements in both his native Switzerland and in the international arena, including such projects as the Capuchin Convent in Lugano, the Craft Center in Balerna, the Kyobo Towers in Korea, the Alla Scala Theater in Milan and the Administration Building for Staatsbank in Fribourg.
