   Biography
 
Philip Hanna holds a degree in Applied Business Languages and International Management from the Highschool of Applied Sciences in Bremen/Germany. His specialization was on Marketing and Human Resources Management in the Arab Region. From 2008 to 2011 he worked as Robert Bosch Cultural Manager at the Goethe-Institut in Cairo. At the German Embassy Cairo, he subsequently was the head coordinator of the "German Weeks" festival 2012. As Senior Resident Representative, Mr. Hanna managed the regional office of DAPD news agency in Cairo from 2012 to 2013. Since April 2013, he has been the Liaison Officer of the Technische Universität München. He is also currently enrolled in the “International Education Management (INEMA)” - a German-Arab Master's Program”, a joint program of the Institute for Educational Leadership of the University of Education Ludwigsburg/Germany and the Helwan University/Egypt.
 
 
  Abstract
 
German Science Centre Cairo – Excellent Opportunities for Students and Researchers from Egypt
The session will focus on the wide scope of opportunities offered by German Institutions to students and scientists from Egypt. Scholarship and funding programmes are an important aspect of the work of the partners involved in the DWZ but not the only offer to the academic community. The DWZ organizes interdisciplinary events on current issues in science and innovation. The partner organizations individually carry out various projects in a wide range of disciplines. A selection of projects and offers to the Egyptian academic landscape will be presented at a glance. Furthermore a discussion with representatives of the DWZ`s partner organization will explain why Egypt is an important partner in Science, Higher Education and Innovation and which fields offer potential for future cooperation.
