There are Many Roads in Medicine Ahead |
All our sciences, all our doings are embedded in the general way how we deal with men as our culture. Especially Alexandria is a right spot convening such a symposium. The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is very well known and contains with its great philosophers a lot of knowledge which give the basis for our human thinking. Their sentences are still valid today.
Bio Vision is a new focus in medicine. Within the last decade we have now a strong impetus on new possibilities in all our medicine by gene technology. This gives a great deal of manipulating within our genomes. Of course this creates different ethical issues and the transfer from theoretical considerations, experiences in the labs to the clinic has to be done very carefully.
In general there are always many roads in medicine ahead, starting with molecular medicine, nanomedicine, pharmacology, and e-health. But the main road leads to our patients, who should benefit from all our scientific endeavours.
