ABDULLA M. MOLOKHIA, PhD.

Professor, Pharmaceutics
Prof. Molokhia obtained his PhD from the University of Michigan, USA 1973. He held academic positions at Universities of Houston, Riyadh and Alexandria and is a current member of the Egyptian National Pharmacology Committee. He advised more than 52 PhD and MS candidates and co-authored more than 153 original manuscripts and presentations to national and international conferences. Between 1996-2004, he was the chairman of the Egyptian National Organization for Drug Control and Research at the Ministry of Health. From 2004 until 2013, he chaired the European Egyptian Pharmaceutical Industries Company, a division of Pharco Pharmaceuticals, Alexandria, Egypt. Between 2007-2013, he chaired the Pharmaceutical Sector of the Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetic Chamber at the Egyptian Industry Union. Prof. Molokhia chaired several conferences organized among NODCAR, the MOH and the WHO. As consultant to the WHO, he presented training and consultations to nine countries in the EMRO region. Prof. Molokhia co-chaired 5 Egyptian-USP Symposia on “Science and Standards”. He acts as observer representing the Egyptian Chamber of Pharmaceuticals with the USP Convention.
