Biography |
|
Mohamed Yasser Khalil is Director of the Synchrotron-light for Experimental Science and Applications in the Middle East in Jordan since 2008; and Professor of Nuclear and Radiation Engineering, Alexandria University. He was Director of the Faculty and Leadership Development Center- Alexandria University from 2006-2008; Head, Nuclear Engineering Dept., Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt from 1997-2003 and from 2006-2008. He was also Executive Member of the office of the Alexandria University developmentĀ¬ projects management unit from 2004-2008. Khalil was a Visiting Scientist, Chemical Research Institute, Juelich Nuclear Research Center (KFA) from 1990-1992 and Visiting Scholar, Nuclear Engineering Sept., University of California-Berkeley from 1989-1990. He is also Member of the Technical Working Group on Research Reactors (TWGRR), IAEA, Vienna, Austria (2008-2011) and Member of the AFRA High Level Steering Committee (HLSC) on Human Resource Development (HRD) and Nuclear Knowledge Management (NKM), IAEA, Vienna, Austria (2008-2011). Khalil obtained his BS and MS in Nuclear Engineering from Alexandria University in 1976 and his MS and PhD in Nuclear Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 1984.
