Former UN Expert Economist Professor of Management Sciences, graduate School of Business, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Alexandria Visiting Professor of Management at the Arab Academy for Sciences and Technology for the MBA program. Member of the Board of Trustees of the National Academy of Training chaired by the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Sherif Delawar has a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Alexandria University in 1962. He is a practitioner with extensive business experience as a Senior Executive in various sectors (oil and petrochemicals manufacturing industries, construction). He also possesses a strong academic background and has been involved as consultant for the United Nations Industrial Organization in a number of industrial feasibility studies in Africa, Latin America and the Arab world. Delawar is active in the public life in Egypt and was a member of the Board of the Social Fund for Development, the State Holding Company for Chemical Industries (24 companies), the Alexandria and Damietta Ports Authorities, the Arab Management Association, the Alexandria Business Association and was appointed as the first Honorary Consul of India in Alexandria. He was Head of the Management Department of Senghor University where he stills teaches as Visiting Professor. Sherif Delawar was a member of the High Council for Culture and the Academy for Scientific Research & Technology?. Formerly, was a member of the Board of the Alexandria and Mediterranean Research Center (Alex Med, Bibliotheca Alexandrina). Delawar has been awarded the ?Chevalier de l?Ordre des Palmes Academiques from the French Republic for his academic achievements. Delawar is the author of six books; Change: Why and How? (1990), Issues on the Path of Economic Reform (1993), the Modernization of Egypt (1999), the Egyptian Economy and Globalization (2002), The Take Over of The World (2010). He also has numerous papers, newspaper articles and press/TV interviews analyzing economic development issues both on national and international levels. His recent book Not to Steal the Future was released late 2014

The New Dynamics of the Critical Materials : How Minerals Will Impact Geopolitics in the 21st Century. Every civilization has its resources, today rare earth metals are critical in shaping the global economy and geopolitics. A lack of understanding of the influence and impact of the new dynamic of rare earths could hinder the growth and economic development of any nation. With the advent of the fourth industrial revolution and the green economy , all related technologies are dependent on those rare elements. Securing materials for the emerging technologies is becoming a strategic priority for firms as well as nations .
