Research Industry Day: From Lab to Reality

Following the success of the Linking Research Institutions, Universities, and Industry in the Arab World Conference, held on 22 December 2010 at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in the occasion of the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World-Arab Regional Office (TWAS-ARO) 6th Annual meeting.

The Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP), in cooperation with the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS), continued its support towards young researchers by organizing Research Industry Day: From Lab to Reality Seminar on Thursday 28 July 2011.

The Seminar covered many topics such as problems facing young researchers in introducing their research to industry, importance of the great role of small and medium enterprises in the industrialization of scientific research, innovation patency and investment in scientific research. As well as presenting successful stories in which scientific research led to successful products. In addition, it aimed to build a network between young researchers, entrepreneurs and the industry sector.
