The Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the European Union are organizing a workshop on "Building Perceptions and Developing Capacities in the Egyptian Cultural Fields"

Within the framework of the program Support to Cultural Diversity and Creativity in Egypt, and in collaboration with the European Union, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina organized a workshop on "Building Perceptions and Developing Capacities in the Egyptian Cultural Fields". The workshop is regarded the first event implemented under the theme of "Mapping and Supporting Cultural Industries in Egypt".

Cultural Debate on “Alexandria the Inspiration of Artists” At the Bibliotheca Alexandrina

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) has organised a cultural debate on “Alexandria, the Inspiration of Artists” last Thursday. The debate provided an open discussion, with the participation of Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the BA; Dr Khaled Azab, the BA Special Projects Manager; and a number of Alexandrian intellectuals.

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina organizes a Cultural Debate on “Literature and Cultural Fields in Egypt,” at Bayt Al-Sinnari

In association with the European Union, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, is holding a debate that brings together a selection of prominent Egyptian authors, scholars and literature specialists on Saturday July 19^th to discuss the nature of literary movements in novels, short stories, poetry and its effect on the shaping  of the Egyptian literature. 

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the European Union Partner to Support Cultural Diversity and Creativity in Egypt

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) has started the implementation of the activities of the Support to Cultural Diversity and Creativity in Egypt; a program co-financed by the European Union (EU) with funds going up to one Million euro. The program aims to support and enhance cultural activities and creativity in Egypt. The grant agreement was signed between the BA and the EU in December at Bayt al-Sinnari (the Sinnari House) in Cairo in late 2013.
