Biography:
Dr. Edward Gregg serves as Chief of the Epidemiology and Statistics Branch in the Division of Diabetes Translation at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where his current efforts involve oversight of the National Diabetes Surveillance system and the integration of surveillance, epidemiology, health services, and economic studies at CDC to better guide health policy for diabetes. His research interests include surveillance of national and international trends in diabetes and related risk factors as well as the impact of lifestyle interventions on the risk of diabetes and related complications. He obtained his PhD in chronic disease epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh.
