On the morning of 18 February 2007, there was a powerful rainstorm in Alexandria, Egypt. Mr. Aymen Ibrahem, Senior Astronomy Specialist, observed a spectacular
rainbow while stepping out of his home, by the Miami Beach.
Ibrahem took a series of photos, recording the development of the rainbow.
"It was one of the most fascinating weather phenomena I have ever
observed," said Ibrahem. "I could observe its full extent".
He also recorded a faint, apparently rainless rainbow, following the heavy
rains. When the Sun shone again, through breaks in the clouds, the raging
sea was gleaming in spectacular green hues.

Ibrahem pursued the observation from the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Plaza, recording impressive cloud patterns. He also took pictures of garden snails, showing
their interesting behavior. Some of the snails were crawling in the Plaza, on
the wet ground. Others were feeding on plant leaves.
