Posted on

The BA is currently preparing for and organizing the 9th International Biennial Conference, BioVisionAlexandria 2018, to be held from 20 to 22 April 2018. The theme of this year’s conference is “New Life Sciences: Towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”, and it focuses on the vital role of science in achieving SDGs.

The conference aims to endorse constructive dialogue among parties concerned with the development of biosciences and provide an opportunity for them to discuss academic, industrial, or research-related issues. Said discussions will be held in order to identify and explore new horizons and fields in life sciences that may significantly benefit mankind. The event will highlight several topics in various fields—such as education, health, nutrition, agriculture, and the environment—to be discussed by numerous nationally and internationally renowned scientists and researchers, experts in industrial and scientific fields, policy makers, and civil society representatives.

A significant number of youth will participate in this year’s round through the “Share Your Story” initiative in which participants will share their success stories from their participation in different BioVisionAlexandria events, which first started in 2002.

A Poster Session will be held on the sidelines of the conference. In this event, researchers will present their work on posters allowing academics and scientists from around the world to exchange suggestions and constructive conversations.  The BioFair@BioVisionAlexandria 2018 Exhibition will also be held in order to offer participants the opportunity to present their services and products to the conference attendees. The TWAS/BioVisionAlexandria.NXT (BVA.NXT) initiative will be held two days before the conference under the theme “Science Diplomacy: Voices of the South”.
