The BA Launches “Callima” Service

Posted on

The BA Library Sector, in cooperation with the Information and Communication Technology Sector, launched the "Callima" service, which aims to respond to inquiries from the public from all over the world about the different services offered by the Library, either document references or factual information. The service is provided in Arabic, English, and French, through the website: (https://bibalex.org/callima/). The public can ask a question and get an answer from the BA Reference Services Specialists within 3 to 7 working days.

It is worth mentioning that the word “Callima” is derived from “Calimachus”, who was the first to set the rules for the classification of books (cataloguing) in the ancient Library of Alexandria. It also means “word” in the Arabic language.
