This lecture will discuss the various types of sacred relics and the rituals related to them, especially sacred relics of the female saints of the Coptic Church in Egypt. The lecture will also spotlight the sacred shrines of the Coptic Church where these relics are stored and briefly describe the traditional ceremonies held during saint festivals every year, such as the Saint Demiana and Saint Rafka.
The lecture will be delivered by Dr. Nivine Abdel Gawad, who has a PhD in philosophy in tourism management from the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management, Alexandria University.
