Alexandria—The BA Young People's Library won, for the third time, the UNESCO Digital Arts Award 2007 prize. The BA digital YDC production has been selected as one of the best, among all the participants of the Young Digital Creators Session 2006-2007. The young people representing the BA in the project range from 12-16 years old.

This year the award will be given to the librarian/educator who supervised the project. The librarian is invited to visit the Sharjah Biennale in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates and will take part in a teachers training workshop. Sherine Said was the librarian supervising the winning team.

It is worth mentioning that the BA participated in digital programs on water and Aids and HIV. The winning productions in "sounds of our water" program are namely: water uses, which describes the daily use of water, and water everywhere, describing the importance of different water resources to our life; and Aids is the winning production in "Aids and HIV" program discussing different means of fighting the disease.
