The BA seeks to deeply root its relationship with Egyptian scholars and intellectuals and to benefit from their wisdom and views in drafting the BA's strategies and programs. Thus, the BA will renew the membership of its nine specialized advisory committees. The committees' meeting round this year will start in June 2007 and will continue until May 2008. It is worth noting that the general meeting of the advisory committees will be held on Thursday and Friday, 14 and 15 June 2007.
Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, stated that these committees give impetus to the BA's artistic, cultural, and scientific mission through the participation of its members in formulating the activities and programs of the BA. Dr. Mohsen Youssef, Director of the Dialogue Forum Center chairs the advisory committees. The committees' membership will be for one year only to increase the participation of intellectuals and scholars from different fields and they meet around four times a year.
