The Institute for Peace Studies will be hosting on the 14 and 15 of June 2007 a simulation of negotiations at Masters and Doctoral levels on ''Culture and Conflict Resolution in the Euro-Mediterranean Region". This simulation is organized jointly by the Center for the Analysis of Disputes and their Modes of Settlement (CADMOS), the University of Paris-Sud and the Institute for Peace Studies. It gathers more than 110 participants from over 30 countries and will focus on issues such as the protection of civil society, proper governance, inter-religious dialogue and political and social crises. A final document will be issued and adopted at the end of the simulation that will be known as "The Charter of Alexandria".
The simulation will be followed by a colloquium which will be held on the 16th of June under the same theme. Speakers such as Ambassador Jacques Huntzinger, Coordinator of the Euromed Process, Ambassador Lucio Guerrato, Executive Director of the Anna Lindh Foundation and Dr. Aly El Samman, Admiral Jean Dufourcq, Father Camille Moubarak and Professor Michèle Guillaume- Hofnung.
