The Birth of the Seventh Art Exhibition Travels to the Press Syndicate in Cairo

The BA held an exhibition entitled "Press and Cinema over a Century" featuring photos, posters, and cinema catalogues in the Press Syndicate in Cairo, in cooperation with the Cultural Committee in the Syndicate and the Ministry of Culture.
Dr. Khaled Azab, Director of the BA Media Department, stated that the BA was keen on displaying the exhibition at the BA parallel to "The Birth of the Seventh Art in Alexandria Festival" in Cairo. Several Alexandrian actors were honored in "the Birth of the Seventh Art in Alexandria Festival" including Hind Rustom, Omar Sharif, and Youssef Chahine.
He added that films by Lumière Brothers, which were presented for the second time in Alexandria following their premiere in France, will be shown within the framework of the "Press and Cinema over a Century" Exhibition. Films by Egyptian Cinema Pioneer Director Mohamed Bayoumi will be also shown as part of the festival, followed by a seminar entitled "Press and Cinema in Egypt" with the participation of several cinema makers.
