The BA Manuscript Center will hold, in continuation of the series of international manuscript conferences, its annual conference entitled "Lost and Embedded Manuscript Texts (al-Makhtutat al-Mattwiyya)", 6-8 May 2008. Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, stated that the Conference will present a new term in heritage, which is (al-Makhtutat al-Mattwiyya) and will invite heritage specialists and researchers to discuss the new term, similar to the previous manuscript conferences, which drafted new heritage terms, introduced new visions of manuscript heritage, opened new windows on such heritage, and rescued our lost heritage through ages. Thus, the Conference is an attempt at uncovering lost and embedded manuscript texts, and is further attempt at calking our fractured awareness.
