Polish Graphic Art at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) will host an exhibition entitled Graphic Art from the Academy of Warsaw in collaboration with the Cultural sector at the Polish Embassy. The exhibition will be inaugurated on Tuesday 23rd November at 7:00 pm, and will be held till the 28th of November, at the East Hall of the BA’s Conference Center. Polish Ambassador Jan Natkanski is expected to attend the inauguration ceremony.

Graphic Art will present the works of four Polish Master Printmakers; Agnieszka Cieślińska, Rafał Strent, Andrzej Węcławski and Stanisław Wieczorek, in celebration of the centennial of the circle of Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. The exhibition will later on travel to Damascus, Syria and Amman, Jordan.

The second day of the exhibition will present a lecture by two polish professors; Mr. Andrzej Weclawski and Mrs. Agnieszka Cieslinska-Kawecka, on contemporary Polish art and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. The lecture will be held at the West Hall in the BA’s Conference Center at 10:30 am.
