“Ancient Greek Ships” in a Lecture at the BA

Within the framework of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina’s celebration of the Day of the Mediterranean, the BA Alexandria Center for Hellenistic Studies, in cooperation with the BA Planetarium Science Center and the Thessaloniki Science Center and Technology Museum (NOESIS) in Greece, and under the auspices of the Secretariat for Greeks Abroad (Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs), organizes a lecture titled “Ancient Greek Ships”, delivered by Dr. Emad Khalil, Professor of Maritime Archaeology, Alexandria University. The lecture takes place on Thursday, 16 December 2021, at 2:00 pm, in the Auditorium Hall, BA Main Entrance.

• The lecture is open to the public until the maximum number of hall capacity is reached.

• Please adhere to all covid-19 precautionary measures.

• Please note that it is not allowed to enter the Library without proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

• Participants who would like to take a tour of the exhibition “Idea: Ancient Greek Science and Technology” after the lecture, should register their names at the registration desk before entering the lecture hall.
