"New Media : Professional and Social Challenges" Seminar

The BA Center for Strategic Studies organized a seminar entitled “New Media: Professional and Social Challenges”, on Wednesday, 31 May 2023, in the BACC Delegates Hall.
The seminar was attended by Prof. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the BA; Prof. Sami Abdel Aziz, former Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University; Egyptian television’s news anchor Dr. Mohamed Abdu; and Prof. Saeed Al-Masry, Professor of Sociology at the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University, and former Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Culture. The event was moderated by the esteemed Inas Gohar, former Head of the Egyptian Radio and one of Egypt’s media icons.
Dr. Ahmed Zayed said that there is a new type of media that opens the horizons for all social classes through simple and easy technological tools, which create a new form of society. These tools work on breaking all the boundaries that societies have known, since they give the opportunity for all people to express their views on different topics.
For her part, Mrs. Inas Gohar expressed her happiness at being part of this seminar, stressing that the media is the citizens’ voice and the mirror that reflects every movement that aims to develop and educate the people.
